Gilmore Girls Will Return for a New Season on Netflix
Gilmore Girls has become the latest series to be revived by Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The original series starred Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as fast-talking, pop-culture loving mother-daughter duo Lorelei and Rory Gilmore. The show ended eight years ago, but has gained a new generation of fans since it began streaming on Netflix last October. It ran for seven seasons and Netflix will now produce additional episodes.
The project would be four 90-minute movies, rather than a series, Variety has learned. Warner Bros. and Netflix both declined to comment, so it's not 100 percent official yet. Apparently all the “major players” will be back—Graham and Bledel as the mother-daughter team Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, Kelly Bishop as Lorelai’s mother, Emily, and Scott Patterson as Lorelai’s chief love interest, Luke.
We will notify you on NetflixReleases.com as soon as we know the official release dates of Gilmore Girls!
