Desert ants suddenly form a collective intelligence and begin to wage war on the inhabitants. It is up to two scientists and a stray girl they rescue from the ants to destroy them. When a spate of peculiar activities begins to occur in the Arizona desert, scientists Ernest Hubbs and James Lesko investigate and discover a colony of highly intelligent ants bent on expanding their terrain -- and on conquering humanity.
