An idyllic town is thrown into chaos when two powerful Pokémon, Dialga and Palkia, cross paths and battle, distorting the dimensions of time and space. The only hope comes from Darkrai, a shadowy Pokémon shunned by the townsfolk. On a tour of Alamos Town and the Space-Time Tower, Ash, Alice and the rest of their friends learn that the town's special garden has been destroyed, and the culprit seems to be the mysterious Darkrai.
