New Netflix series ‘Ozark’ starring Jason Bateman
A new Netflix series will be set in Missouri. Entertainment Weekly reports that Jason Bateman will star in the drama called, “Ozark.” The series starts shooting this spring.
The series will explore the world of drugs and money laundering in mid-Missouri. The Hollywood Reporter says Bateman plays a family man who moves from the city to the Lake of the Ozarks. He begins to repay the money-laundering debt he owes to a ruthless drug lord.
Bateman will also direct and be an executive producer of the show. The production company behind the show credits include House of Cards. MRC helped put Netflix on the map with scripted originals.
